How To Find Us

HHPC&W members are diversified in their imagery, the camera equipment they use and in their pursuits. They are an eclectic mix of skilled amateurs, semi professionals and professional photographers.

Workshops  consist of lectures and/or demonstrations on some aspect of photography presented by a member or professional in the field.

Some meetings are dedicated to ‘hands-on’ workshops where we practice different techniques and styles of photography as well as editing in Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom.

Monthly themes and critique provide members the opportunity to present their photos for sharing and allows an open forum for discussion in an effort to share knowledge and improve skills.

Other workshop activities include field trips, exhibitions of members’ photographs at galleries in the Hudson Valley and friendly, pier judged photo contests.

Members are encouraged to host and attend field trips. These trips offer others the opportunity to visit new and exciting areas to photograph. A field trip is also an excellent motivator to get out and photograph, learn new techniques and skills from fellow members.

MENTORSHIP:

New members joining the club ( as well as existing members) are offered an optional free mentorship service.  If the new member is so inclined, you will paired with  an experienced member to learn about your camera, photographing techniques, editing  or printing.

Prospective members have the opportunity to observe one  free (in person or Zoom) workshop/meeting prior to joining  the camera club.  Inclement weather can result in meeting being switch to Zoom, please call before venturing out.
