How To Find Us

Hudson Highlands Photography Club & Workshop

Some of our workshops consist of lectures and/or demonstrations on some aspect of photography presented by a member, professional, or skilled amateur. At other times the workshop provides an open forum for discussion, and members are given the opportunity to present their work for viewing and critiquing in an effort to share knowledge and improve skills. Some meetings are dedicated to a ‘hands-on’ workshop where we practice different techniques and styles of photography.

Members are encouraged to become active in one or more of the committees, e.g., program, exhibit committees etc., and to possibly host a field trip to a destination with which they are familiar. These trips offer the opportunity to visit new and exciting areas to photograph. A field trip is also an excellent motivator to get out and photograph and to learn new techniques and skills from fellow members.

Other workshop activities include exhibitions of members’ photographs at galleries in the Hudson Valley, an annual dinner party, and an annual photo contest/holiday party. We provide prospective members the opportunity to observe two workshops/meetings prior to deciding whether they would like to join our group. After the second visit the prospective member can choose to join the HHPCW membership by paying our $40 annual dues (Pro-rated for the first year).

We sincerely hope you will join us.  If you have any questions, please email Martin Kivell at the martinkivell1@aol.com.
